Majewski Edward

Prof. dr hab. Edward Majewski

Ukończył studia na Wydziale Ekonomiczno-Rolniczym SGGW w Warszawie. Pracę naukową w uczelni rozpoczął w 1975 roku. Obecnie jest profesorem zwyczajnym w Instytucie Ekonomii i Finansów SGGW. Głównym obszarem jego zainteresowań naukowych jest Zrównoważony Rozwój, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem aspektów ekonomicznych i środowiskowych. Brał udział jako kierownik zespołu lub koordynator w realizacji około 40 projektów badawczych finansowanych ze źródeł krajowych i unijnych. W obszarze produkcji zwierzęcej, wraz z zespołem, szacował skutki ekonomiczne podniesienia standardów dobrostanu zwierząt w ramach projektu Econwelfare. Jest także współautorem ekspertyzy dotyczącej skutków planowanego w UE zakazu chowu klatkowego kur niosek. Od 1996 roku prowadził w SGGW studia podyplomowe MBA. Jest autorem ok. 200 publikacji naukowych.
